There’s this guy — a designer, builder, and full-stack creative who somehow makes fintech, cycling, and pizza all orbit the same obsession: clarity that hits hard. He’s based in Poland, working as a Staff Product Designer at Affirm, where he shapes repayment flexibility for 40+ million users and ships UX that quietly reduces financial anxiety without asking for applause. Before Affirm, he was the go-to person for more than forty companies — from Amazon, EY, and Schaeffler to early-stage teams drowning in chaos and needing someone who could actually make things work. He’s carrying two decades of web craft, eight years of product leadership, and a reputation for cutting through fluff faster than most meetings even start. From 2014 to 2023 he ran Smuw Studio, a no-nonsense design and development practice focused on strong brands, dashboards, and digital systems. Smuw still exists as a method more than a company, and that mindset drives a lot of what he builds today. He also founded GALOP.cc, Poland’s fastest cycling club — a place where brand identity somehow matters almost as much as watts. When he’s not cycling, he’s tuning pizza dough, brewing sunrise coffee, or hanging out with his family. One of his sons already wants to be a product designer; Bart pretends to play it cool, but it’s clearly his favorite plot twist.
